Paris police fired shots Tuesday at a woman who allegedly covered her face and made threats on a train, without yet saying what was said or how the woman was doing.
Police say the officers fired after warning and the woman did not respond, but there is no information on whether the woman was killed or injured.

The case began when one of the train passengers called emergency services and reported that a woman, wearing a face covering, was making threats and it was unknown what the suspect said.
The train, which is connected to a metro station, was near the François Mitterrand National Library in eastern Paris and was evacuated, police said.
This was the latest security incident in the country, raising anti-terrorism alert to the highest level since a school stabbing blamed on an Islamic extremist.
In October, a teacher at a school in Arras, northern France, was stabbed and killed by an Islamic radical of Chechen origin, who was already being monitored by the security services and whose deportation proceedings were suspended due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Informed, the French government has raised the anti-terrorist alert system to the maximum level and mobilized seven thousand soldiers and other exceptional resources.
The killing took place three years after the murder of another teacher in France, Samuel Patty, also by a terrorist of Chechen origin, for showing caricatures of Mohammed in a lesson on freedom of expression.
