Paris police shoot woman over alleged threats on train

This Tuesday, Paris police shot a woman who allegedly had her face covered and threatened her inside a train, without yet revealing what she said or how the woman is.

According to police, the officers fired shots after warning and the woman did not respond, but there is no information on whether the woman was killed or injured.

The case began when one of the train passengers called emergency services and reported that a woman, who was wearing a face covering, was being threatening, and it was unknown what the suspect said.

The train, which is connected to a metro station, was near the François Mitterrand national library in eastern Paris and was evacuated, police added.

This was the latest security incident in the country, which raised the anti-terrorism alert level to the highest level since a school stabbing blamed on an Islamic extremist.

In October, a teacher at a school in Arras, northern France, was stabbed and murdered by an Islamic radical of Chechen origin, who was already being followed by the security services and had the expulsion process suspended due to the invasion. Russian from Ukraine.

At that time, the French Government raised the anti-terrorist alert system to its maximum and mobilized seven thousand soldiers and other exceptional resources.

The murder occurred three years after the murder of another teacher in France, Samuel Patty, also by a terrorist of Chechen origin, for showing caricatures of Muhammad in a class on freedom of expression.
