Last Friday, the White House accused businessman Elon Musk of making an “abject promotion of anti-Semitic and racist hatred” in one of his publications on his social network X, formerly Twitter.
The billionaire responded Wednesday to the owner of a social media account who wrote that Jewish people encouraged “hatred of white people” with the following message: “You told the exact truth.”
For the White House, the publication merely repeats a conspiracy theory popular among white nationalists, namely that Jews have a secret plan to encourage illegal immigration to Western countries to undermine the white majority there.
This conspiracy theory was used by the author of the attack on a synagogue in the North American city of Pittsburgh in 2018, which left eleven people dead.
“It is unacceptable to repeat the heinous lie that led to the deadliest act of anti-Semitism in American history,” White House spokesman Andrew Bates said in a statement, referring to that attack.

After his initial response, Elon Musk added that the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), an association that fights anti-Semitism, is “wrongly attacking the majority of the West, despite the fact that the majority of the West supports the Jewish people and Israel .” “.
“This is because, according to their own principles, they cannot criticize the minority groups that pose the greatest threat” to the Jewish people, the businessman explained.
The ADL is among the non-governmental organizations (NGOs) that have reported a significant increase in misinformation and homophobic and racist insults on the social network X, since the moderation rules on this platform changed with the arrival of Elon Musk.
The owner of the companies Tesla and SpaceX had already attacked ADL in early September, claiming that the group was “responsible for the majority of the revenue losses” of the social network X.
