A New York state court received a complaint this Wednesday against actor Jamie Foxx, accused of sexual assault, which allegedly occurred on the terrace of a restaurant in the North American city in 2015.
The complainant accused Eric Marlon Bishop, known as Jamie Foxx, of touching her without consent after she and a friend approached the actor on a restaurant terrace in August 2015.
According to the complaint, Foxx agreed to take a photo, complimented the woman, comparing her to actress Gabrielle Union, and then grabbed her arm, pulled her away, and touched her breast without consent.
Furthermore, according to the woman, the actor “put his fingers” in her “vagina and anus” until her friend came to her aid, since one of the Hollywood star’s bodyguards had noticed the situation, but did not do so. nothing.
The plaintiff “suffered injuries, became ill, suffered pain, became distressed and disabled, and had to undergo medical treatment and counseling,” says the lawsuit, which also accuses the restaurant and owner, Mark Birnbaum, of enabling the attack through behavioral allegedly negligent. of the employees.
The lawsuit filed in the New York Supreme Court, a lower court, seeks compensation and maintains that the alleged victim was “permanently” affected by the “sexual abuse and aggravated assault” she suffered.
The case was brought under New York’s Adult Survivors Act, which expires Friday and allows victims to sue alleged sex offenders even if the crimes have expired.
At 55 years old, Foxx has appeared in more than 80 films throughout his career – some as well-known as Ray, Collateral and Django Unchained – which have made him one of the most recognizable faces in the Hollywood industry.
In April, Foxx was admitted to the hospital due to a health issue. In July, the actor admitted that he had gone through very difficult times, but assured that he was ready to get back to work.
