The Ukrainian Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, currently under Russian control, was “on the verge of a nuclear accident” on Friday night due to a temporary power outage, Ukrainian nuclear operator Energoatom said on Saturday.
“Yesterday [sexta-feira] In the evening there was a complete blackout at the Zaporijia power plant,” Energoatom wrote on Telegram, adding that the power supply was restored a few hours later.
According to the president of the Ukrainian operator, Petro Kotin, “the (Russian) occupation forces do not care about security at the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant.”
