Customs officials made the discovery Tuesday at the US-Mexico border on the Texas side.
It is a strange discovery that US customs agents made Tuesday in Texas, on the border between the United States and Mexico. In a car from Mexico, a 2012 Ford Escape, customs officials found more than $400,000 worth of methamphetamine hidden in suspicious-looking Halloween decorations.
Almost 20 kg of drugs
A total of 19.84 kilos of drugs were seized. The methamphetamine was hidden in 136 condoms, themselves hidden in four gourds.
The drug was seized by customs agents, as was the vehicle. The driver and his companion were detained by the police.
A few days earlier, on October 2, about fifteen kilos of methamphetamine had been seized in the same place, with a value of about 328,000 dollars.
