The president of the European Council stated this Friday that only one country is against the long-term review of the EU budget and rejected speculation about the possibility of deciding only the 26.
“We finished our meeting tonight. We discussed the multiannual financial framework and 26 leaders agreed with the proposal in all its components. Asked about the possibility of the issue going to the 26, as was the opening of formal negotiations with Ukraine and Moldova on Thursday – the Hungarian Prime Minister did not participate in the vote – Charles Michel refused to speculate on the matter and stated that he wanted to focus in achieving unanimity among member states.
