This Sunday, Russian air defenses shot down 35 Ukrainian drones in the Volgograd, Lipetsk and Rostov regions bordering Ukraine, while Ukraine announced that it had shot down a missile and twenty Russian drones.
According to the Russian Ministry of Defense all drones were shot down that night, with the exception of those shot down this morning while flying over Volgograd.

Between Friday and Saturday, Russian air defenses shot down 32 enemy drones in a massive attack on the annexed Crimean peninsula.
Ukrainian drones also attacked several districts in the Kursk border area the day before, damaging several houses and infrastructure, including a compressor unit at the train station in the city of Dmitriev.
Tonight, Ukraine claimed to have shot down a missile and twenty Russian attack drones.
“Russian occupation forces attacked with an Iskander-K cruise missile, a Kh-59 guided missile and 20 Shahed-type attack drones”The Ukrainian Air Force said this in a statement.
Ukrainian forces shot down the drones, as well as the Kh-59 missile, and the Iskander-K did not reach the target, the same source added, stating that the missiles were launched from Crimea and the occupied Kherson (south) region.
Ukrainian drone attacks occur almost daily in Russian regions bordering Ukraine. In recent months they have also focused on the Russian capital Moscow and the surrounding area.
In turn, Russia bombs Ukrainian cities every day. This week, a massive drone strike was launched in southern Ukraine, hitting Kiev using ballistic missiles, the shrapnel of which caused five dozen injuries.
