In addition to foreign policy, Kim also stressed to party members “issues that should be prioritized” to strengthen North Korea’s political, labor and economic systems.

Kim stressed the need to strengthen industries such as steel, chemicals, power generation, coal and machinery, as well as accelerate rural development and stabilize agricultural production, prioritizing regional industries and fisheries.

On Wednesday, KCNA said North Korea has recorded a rare good harvest this year as the country completed construction of new irrigation facilities ahead of schedule and met key agricultural targets.
