According to that news agency, Vladimir Putin, who this year appeared only to wish congratulations to Russians, took advantage of the moment to highlight Russia’s achievements throughout 2023 and thanked the military, whom he called heroes.
“More than once we have shown that we are capable of solving the most complex tasks and that we will never turn back, because there is no force capable of dividing us, of forgetting the memory and faith of our parents, of stopping our development,” said the head of the Kremlin.
The message from the Russian head of state, which is traditionally broadcast a few minutes before the Kremlin bells announce the start of the new year, has already been spread in the Russian Far East, where, due to the time difference, it is already 1 January. .
