The head of Jordanian diplomacy, Ayman Safadi, urged his American counterpart, Antony Blinken, this Sunday to end the war in the Gaza Strip and protect civilians in the besieged enclave.
“Safadi stressed the need to immediately end the aggression, protect civilians and ensure adequate and sustainable humanitarian and medical access to all areas of Gaza,” stated the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The statement appears in a statement released during a meeting between Safadi and Blinken in Amman, cited by the Spanish agency EFE.
The two representatives also addressed “the worsening human catastrophe resulting from the war” and discussed the need to “end illegal Israeli measures in the West Bank and Jerusalem,” referring to Israeli attacks and operations.
