Vladimir Putin promised this Friday, March 15, to respond to the recent attacks on Russian territory by fighters who call themselves pro-Ukrainian Russians, denouncing an attempt to “disrupt” the presidential elections organized until Sunday and that would supposedly allow him to be re-elected without opposition.
“These enemy attacks do not and will not go unpunished,” the Russian president said during a televised meeting of his security council. “I am sure that our people, the Russian people, will react with even more unity,” he added.
