A hunting party gone wrong. Two American students were attacked by a grizzly bear last Saturday in the state of Wyoming. According to US media and local authorities, the students, members of the Northwest College wrestling team, were returning from a hunting trip in the Shoshone National Forest, and were about to return to their car when the offensive occurred.
One of them, Brady Lowry, noticed bear tracks near the vehicle and, just after pointing them at his friend, heard “noise coming from the trees,” he told CNN. The student said he had just enough time to signal the bear’s presence before the animal tackled him to the ground, grabbed his left arm and snapped it.

His friend, Kendell Cummings, tries to get the bear’s attention, to no avail. He then decides to jump on the animal, to divert it from his comrade. The grizzly, in turn, knocks him to the ground and “bites him a bit”, before injuring him in the face and cheek.
Meanwhile, Brady Lowry managed to call the authorities and joined his two other companions, who had lost track of them during the hike. The three young men find Kendell Cummings, covered in blood, and carry him until farmers and then rescuers pick him up.
The two young people were discharged from the hospital a few days later, without serious consequences.
