The President of the United States of America, Joe Biden, and the German Chancellor, Olaf Scholz, held a telephone conversation this Sunday in which they described the recent Russian nuclear threats as “irresponsible”.
“Leaders agreed that Russia’s recent nuclear threats are irresponsible,” the White House said in a statement.
Also according to the White House, Joe Biden and Olaf Scholz “highlighted the continued commitment of the United States and Germany to provide Ukraine with the economic, humanitarian, and security support it needs to defend itself against Russian aggression.”
The two leaders also referred to Scholz’s recent visit to Beijing and “affirmed their common commitments to uphold an international order based on respect for rules, human rights and fair business practices,” the White House added.
