For the first time since the start of the Russian invasion? The Ukrainian Air Force claimed on Thursday, November 21, that Russia had fired an intercontinental ballistic missile at the city of Dnipro, in the east of the country.
“An intercontinental ballistic missile was launched from the Russian region of Astrakhan,” the Air Force said in a statement published on its social networks.
“It is the first time that we have never had a missile of this type,” a source in this army told AFP. These types of missiles are designed to carry nuclear warheads and attack from thousands of kilometers away.
Questioned, the Kremlin did not want to comment on this accusation from kyiv.
The Ukrainian military also said it shot down six Kh-101 cruise missiles fired by Russia during the attack.
