Several members of Donald Trump’s future administration have been victims of “threats,” the president-elect’s spokesman explained this Wednesday, November 27, referring in particular to “bomb threats.”
“Last night and this morning, several people appointed by President Trump to join his team were victims of violent and anti-American threats,” Karoline Leavitt said in a statement.
“We take all potential threats seriously”
Donald Trump’s spokesman spoke of “attacks” ranging from “bomb threats” to “swatting”, a practice that consists of provoking police raids on victims, without giving further details.
The federal police, the FBI, confirmed that it was “aware of numerous bomb threats and crushing incidents against people who were expected to join the next administration.”
“We take all potential threats seriously,” he said in a statement. Elise Stefanik, appointed by Donald Trump as US ambassador to the UN, said in a statement that she had been “warned of a bomb threat at (her) home.”
The presidential campaign was one of the most tense in modern American history, and Donald Trump was the victim of two assassination attempts.
