A violent attack. This Wednesday, January 8, on Truth Social, Donald Trump attacked Gavin Newsom, the Democratic governor of California, a state devastated by violent fires in recent hours.
The future tenant of the White House accuses him of having “refused to sign the water restoration declaration that had been presented to him and that would have allowed millions of gallons of water, from excess rain and melting snow in the North, to flow daily to many areas of California.”
An “incompetent” governor
According to Donald Trump, Gavin Newsom “didn’t care about the people of California.”
“I will demand that this incompetent governor allows fresh, clean, beautiful water to flow into California! He is responsible for this situation,” wrote the American president-elect.
Earlier today, Los Angeles firefighters reported that two people died after these fires affecting California, near Los Angeles.
“Many” more people were seriously injured in the Eaton fire, north of Los Angeles. 1,000 buildings were destroyed, he said at a press conference.
