Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney faced the attacks supported against his conservative rival for a second debate this Thursday, April 17, the liberal candidate who tries to focus attention on Donald Trump, whom he considers the main threat to Canada.
Canadian voters are called to the surveys on April 28 and this second two -hour English debate followed a first French debate organized on Wednesday.
Like the previous day, Mark Carney, a favorite of the surveys and who is a rookie in politics, managed to avoid any important error against the attacks of the conservative boss Pierre Hairyvre and the other two leaders of the party.
“The greatest risk of affordable prices and our economy is Donald Trump, we have to do things well,” said the liberal candidate, echoing a campaign dominated by tensions with the United States.
“We will defend ourselves” and “we will build the strongest economy,” he insisted on the 60 -year -old man, who has repeated several times that his crisis experience as a central banker will allow him to face customs threats.

Pierre Poilievre, 45, and who has been sitting in Parliament for two decades, replied that “our economy is lower than ever” after 10 years in the power of Justin Trudeau’s liberals. The former prime minister was forced to resign due to his unpopularity and the conservative boss constantly seeks to compare it with Mark Carney.
“We need change and you are not change,” he told your opponent, accusing the liberal party of having “Donald Trump and in the United States a quasi-monopoly of our energy” by refusing to build pipes that could allow Canadian oil to export abroad.
“The question to ask is this: after a decade of liberal promises, can you allow you to eat? Is your home more affordable than it was before?” Pierre Poilievre launched, addressing Canadian voters.
During the debate, the liberal candidate tried to forward the attention to the US president.
