Electricity Court in Spain: The World of Portaventura assigned the attraction park

An energy cut touches the entire Iberian Peninsula since the middle of the day on Monday, April 28, affecting numerous infrastructure, including amusement parks such as Portventura, south of Barcelona.

The party is over. The World Portaventura World Park, in Catalonia, was not saved by the cutting of mass electricity that affected the entire Iberian Peninsula.

According to a press release from the Parc Administration, cited by various media, including the Catalan newspaper El Nacional, Portaventura had to evacuate some of these attractions, without closing its doors.

“As part of a generalized breakdown outside our facilities, Portaventura World experienced an interruption in the energy supply and, as a preventive basis and after the established security protocols, we have evacuated certain attractions.”

“Nothing works”

Camille and his family were in a tail for an attraction when the current one interrupted, around 12:30 pm “suddenly, there was no electricity. They managed to evacu [terminaux pour les cartes bancaires] It doesn’t work anymore. Nothing works. “Testifies the French tourist with 20 minutes.

In social networks, many Internet users also pointed out the presence of multiple smoke columns near the park, which was defended from being the origin.

“The operation of attractions and units will resume as soon as the service has been restored by responsible companies. Smoke does not come from the complex facilities,” the company recalled in X.

In fact, the smoke could come from other security protocols, applied this time, by the chemical companies of the city of Tarragona, which contains the world of Parcaventura. The security systems have led to “the combustion of products that circulate in torches and chimneys. It results in a significant black smoke,” as the Tarragona newspaper says.

On early Monday night, the Spanish Network Manager said that electricity was restored up to 35% in continental Spain.
