The president of the United States, Donald Trump, announced on Thursday, May 1, his intention to change the name of “Days of Victory” birthdays at the end of the two world wars on May 8 and November 11.
“Change the name on May 8 of the victory of World War II and on November 11 of the victory of the First World War,” Donald Trump wrote on his social platform of truth.
On May 8, widely held in Western Europe (Russia famous for its part on May 9), it was not a holiday in the United States. November 11 is one and so far bears the name of “veterans” to honor veterans.
“We never celebrate anything”
“Many of our allies and friends celebrate May 8 as Victory Day, but we did more than any other country, with much, to obtain a victorious result during World War II,” the US president continued.
“We won both wars, nobody reached the ankle in terms of strength, courage or military genius, but we never celebrate anything, it’s because we don’t have more leaders who know how to do it!” He left the president. “Let’s start celebrating our victories again!”
However, this statement was not immediately followed by the proclamation of a decree.
