Several people died on Saturday, May 17 in Finland after a collision in flight between two helicopters that transported five people, who then crushed, the police announced.
“The accident has caused several deaths. The exact number of victims and the identity of the passengers are still established,” said Finnish police in a statement.

The cause of the collision, which took place west of Helsinki at noon, was not made public. A witness interviewed by the Finnish newspaper Iltalhti says he saw one of the helicopters make a maneuver and hit the other plane.
