A French agent is one of the diplomats who were attacked by the Israeli fire this Wednesday, May 21 at the West Bank, announces the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“A visit to Jénine in which one of our diplomats participated, suffered fire for Israeli soldiers. It is unacceptable,” Jean-Noël Barot wrote in X, and added that he was going to summon Israel’s ambassador.
The Israeli army has recognized the citation, claiming that the Diplomat delegation “dismissed the approved route and entered an area where it was not allowed to be.”
Stating “regret the inconveniences caused,” Tsahal announced that he will talk “soon with diplomats.”
Several other countries have condemned these Israeli army fires. Irish Foreign Minister Simon Harris said he was “shocked and dismayed” for these shots that condemns “with the greatest firmness”, while the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs “requires Israel to provide all the necessary clarifications” in this “incident.”
An “hateful crime” for the Palestinian authority
The Palestinian authority denounced “atrocious crime committed by Israeli occupation forces.”
Israel is already under the fire of international criticisms to let the Gaza band in only a portion of help not related to the immense needs of the population, after more than two months of total blocking of the Palestinian territory, hungry and devastated by 19 months of war.
The UN denounced a “drop of water in the ocean”, while 22 countries demanded from Israel a “complete recovery of help, immediately.”
European countries have also increased the tone against the intensification of their offensive in this territory with the aim of annihilating Hamas, whose attack on October 7, 2023 in Israel triggered war and bringing back to the hostages retained from Gaza.
