“The family is devastated”: a British couple dies in Thailand after consuming false cocaine

When moving in Thailand to celebrate the marriage of their friends, a British couple ordered a Bangkok cocaine seller. It was actually a deadly mixture of several components.

An illegal consumption has become drama in Thailand. Last March, a British couple was found dead in a hotel room in Bangkok after having accidentally consumed a deadly drug cocktail, this Wednesday, May 28, informs East Sussex Court with times.

Rebecca Turner, 36, and Sam Melnick, 32, went to Laos to celebrate the marriage of a friend and died at the Khaosan Palace hotel, after having absorbed what they thought it was cocaine.

The white substance was actually a deadly mixture of morphine, monoacethylmorphine, uscapine, diazepam, codeine and trazodone.

He arrived a few days before the wedding, the friends ended up warning the staff that Rebecca Turner had disappeared, since he had not left his room for a while. The staff finally found the dead couple in the room, after using a magnetic card to enter.

In the couple’s room, an investigation revealed that a transparent plastic bag containing white powder was found next to the white dust that extended on the sink and an enrolled bank note.

Rebecca’s mother, Anita Turner, said her boyfriend Sam had sent a message to a friend on March 15, saying that she had just bought cocaine in a street reseller on a road known to tourist deaths.

“People’s pass is dead”

“My heart is broken. The whole family is devastated. I wanted to warn people who are going there not to buy drugs. It’s too dangerous,” he said with The British Daily.

Since his daughter’s death, Anita Turner, said she had gone to Thailand three times since her daughter’s death to get more information about what had happened.

“There have been many deaths in this only way. Montones of people died and, nevertheless, the Thai police want to know something,” he insisted Bexhill-on-sea’s mother, in the east of Sussex.

Last year, six tourists died in Laos after drinking vodka that contains methanol, a deadly substance.
