A tendency to dramatic consequences. A young American is dead after trying a Tiktok trend to inhale the anti-political spray, reports The American Press. His parents ask for caution.
Renna O’Rourke, who lived in the city of Phoenix, Arizona, with his mother, died on June 1, after participating in a challenge released on social networks. Called “dust”, or “dust” in French, this trend is to inhale chemicals to take advantage of its euphoric effects.
Among the products used, anti-Aerosol spray, but also sometimes metal paintings, paint or solvent. The drunk effect lasts a few minutes, but causes serious damage to the lungs, even fatal after a brief inhalation.
“Long Live and Attentive”
The young woman spent several days in intensive care. “They had to administer three doses of PPE (adrenaline, editor’s note) and managed to stabilize it, but stayed in this state for several days in the hospital. He never regained consciousness,” said his mother Dana with the KSNV NBC Las Vegas channel.
This sudden death, after a trend of which they did not know the existence, constant, the parents of the young American. “He was animated, attentive and loyal,” recalls his mother Dana.
“He was unique,” he added, evoking a “endearing”, “fun” woman, who “sang like an angel.”
“She always said: ‘I’m going to become famous, Dad. You just have to see. I’m going to be famous,” says her father Aaron.
Easy to access the drug
The mother of the young woman denounces a particularly dangerous trend for the youngest and dusted aerosols that is an object that is easy to achieve. “No identity document is necessary. It is toilet. That is all that young people are looking for,” WSFA told the American channel.
“They can pay it easily and does not appear in the Dad and Mom drug test test,” he adds.
Renna’s parents now ask young people in social networks. One way that “they give meaning to this death and make it a little easier to tolerate,” they say.
“Renna would like to help people and make them learn from him,” says Dana. “If she had better understood the danger she represented, she would not have acted in this way,” he is convinced of his father.
Organ donor
His father indicates in a message posted on Facebook that his daughter donated his organs.
“I thought it was a very simple process, but they have what they call March of Honor, where family and friends walk with them when they take the operating room for donations (…). Our little girl was accompanied by 43 people,” he trusts.
For his mother, this gift is like his daughter. “She gave so many people during her short stay (on earth) and left the same way,” he wants to believe.
A kitten was launched to finance the girl’s funeral. More than $ 10,000 have already been raised this Sunday.
