Zaporizhia power plant: Ukrainian deputy minister evokes “extremely dangerous” situation

Yevhen Perebyinis, Ukraine’s deputy foreign minister, told BFMTV that Russia was behind the missile launch at Europe’s largest power plant.

“It’s Russia’s fault.” A guest of BFMTV, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine spoke about the launch of missiles that hit the Zaporizhia power plant this weekend, occupied since March by the Russian army.

“The situation in the Zaporizhzhia plant is very serious as Russia continues its provocations and shootings. Indeed, the situation is extremely dangerous, ”he warned on our antenna.

The Russian Defense Ministry claims that “the Kyiv regime does not stop provocations in order to create the threat of a disaster at the nuclear power plant.” If the origin of these shots has not yet been confirmed, they endanger the six reactors of the largest nuclear power plant in Europe. For Yevhen Perebyinis, the observation is clear: “Ukraine does not fire at its nuclear power plants.”

The Deputy Minister then explained that “Ukraine has done everything possible to reconnect this plant to the Ukrainian power grid.” A very damaged network in recent days. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that 10 million of his compatriots lost power after numerous Russian attacks.

For this reason, Yevhen Perebyinis called on “the international community to do everything possible to put pressure on Russia to stop nuclear blackmail.”

impossible negotiations

“Our president has said that Ukraine has no intention of coming to the negotiating table with Putin,” he added. The deputy minister rejected any idea of negotiations until the entire territory of Ukraine, including Crimea, was “vacated”.

The organization of “false referendums” in certain regions and the use of torture in certain occupied regions are for him aggravating circumstances that must be tried before a “special court.”
