Iran’s government imposed restrictions on internet use this Monday, cutting mobile connections for many users and continuing to face access problems in some parts of the country, it was announced.
“Network traffic data shows major disruption to internet service in Iran, with mobile internet shut down for many users”said the online platform NetBlocks on Monday.
In turn, the fixed internet works slowly.
Iran has faced several protests since the September 16 death of Masha Amini, who had been arrested three days earlier for not wearing the Islamic headscarf properly.
Internet service outages began to appear since the protests began, which have improved in recent weeks.
However, applications such as WhatsApp, Instagram or Twitter continued to have problems.
Initially, the demonstrators, especially young people and women, demanded more freedom, but now they are also demanding the end of the Islamic Republic.
