Russian attacks hit several cities on Wednesday, including the Ukrainian capital Kiev, Ukrainian authorities said. Critical infrastructure was damaged, particularly in the capital, in what is the latest attack in a string that has caused blackouts across the country at a time when temperatures are plummeting. At least three people have been killed in Kiev.
“The enemy is launching missile attacks on critical infrastructure in the city of Kiev. Stay in shelters until the end of the air raid siren,” the municipality said on social networks, with the mayor, Vitali Klitschko, revealing that critical infrastructure had been hit.
“As a result of the attack, a two-story residential building was damaged. Three people died and six were injured,” the city’s military administration said in a message on the Telegram social network.
There are power cuts in the north and center of Kiev. There are also disruptions in the water supply in the city.
Due to this new series of Russian attacks, “the water supply in Kiev has been cut off,” Vitali Klitschko said on social media. “The whole” region around Kiev was without power, said regional governor, Oleksiy Kuleba.
Other attacks by Moscow forces are reported in the Mykolaiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions, as well as in Lviv and Kremenchuk, in the Poltava region, according to the British newspaper The Guardian. Power outages are reported across the country.
The city of Lviv, in the west, was completely without power, the mayor said.
“The whole city is without power. We are waiting for additional information from energy experts,” Mayor Andriy Sadovyi said on social media, warning that there could also be interruptions to the city’s water supply.
Faced with this new series of attacks by Russian forces, Ukraine’s foreign minister re-emphasized the country’s need to have “all air defense systems in place as soon as possible”.
Dmytro Kuleba wrote on the social network Twitter that Russia is “celebrating” the recognition by the European Parliament of being a “terrorist state” by launching “new missiles against the capital of Ukraine and other cities”.
Russia celebrates its recognition as a terrorist state with new missile terror against the capital of Ukraine, other cities. It should be clear to those who still had doubts: Russia must be recognized worldwide as a terrorist state and Ukraine must receive all necessary air defense systems as soon as possible.

Mykhailo Podolyak, an adviser to the Office of the President of Ukraine, said on social media on Wednesday that another “massive attack” on the country’s critical infrastructure is under way.
While someone is waiting for the results of the World Cup and the number of goals scored, the Ukrainians are waiting for another score – the number of intercepted Russian missiles. Another massive attack on infrastructure facilities is underway. In NASAMS, IRIS-T and Air Defense Forces we trust.

Power outage in neighboring Moldova due to Russian attacks on Ukraine
Moldova announced that the country was experiencing widespread blackouts following a new wave of Russian attacks on power infrastructure in neighboring Ukraine.
“As a result of the Russian bombing of the Ukrainian energy system, we have had power outages across the country for the past hour. [empresa] Moldelectrica is working to restore electricity supply,” Moldovan Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Spinu wrote on Facebook.
The US ambassador in Kiev said Moscow is “punishing Ukraine for daring to be free” by launching new “vicious” attacks across the country.
In a post on social networks, Bridget A. Brink emphasizes the “strength of the Ukrainian people” and says that “Russia’s attempt to dominate Ukraine and plunge it into cold and darkness” will fail. The US diplomat confirms that the US is behind Ukraine.
More vicious missile strikes across the country as Russia seeks to punish Ukraine for daring to be free. I have seen the strength of the people of Ukraine and I know that Russia’s attempt to dominate Ukraine by plunging it into cold and darkness will fail.
