A firefighter who participated in the fight against fires in the north and center of Portugal was killed in an “accident”, bringing two the deadly result of households that have devastated the country since the end of July, according to a press release from the Portuguese presidency obtained this Monday, August 18.
The firefighter died “in service”, during a “traffic accident” that also made “two serious injuries” among his colleagues, said President of the Republic Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa in this press release.
