“This message could not be issued”: Be careful with this email email that was massively sent these last 72 hours

For several days, a new form of fraud has been trying to steal their banking and contact data of people, here is how to protect them.

This mail email may have received it in recent days, and for a good reason, it has been greatly sent to try to deceive users. It is presented as a “error message” or “shipping system message” (“Delivery status notification failure” or “Mail delivery system” in English) Google, but in reality it is shown that it is a scam aimed at Gmail’s accounts.

Clearly, it is sent to your email address, but also to a second, very similar: replaces the “@gmail.com” by “@Google.com”, which will create an error (this email does not exist, or this domain name for users not affiliated with the research giant). Google will send it to tell you that there has been a problem.

A false emergency kit but a real data flight

But under this email hides a real scam. It is a “automobile emergency kit” that would be offered by “Vinci Authoroutes”. If we click on the link that contains this email, we find a site that allows you to ask for free, however, for shipping costs.

This is where the scam comes into play. Computer pirates behind this false site of Vinci Autouteute can recover their personal contact data (such as their address, name and first name), as well as bank data, and also their registration and gray card number. Confidential data that, therefore, could facilitate identity theft and loss of money.

Vinci Authoroute in fact explains that it is directed regularly by emails of this type that promise “an unexpected refund”, “receiving a gift” or “an event offer”.

The problem is that this error email does not appear in the Gmail spam folder, but it appears in its conventional reception box. The scammers behind this email use a defect: the message sent by Google in case of an error in the shipment. Therefore, it shows the error in question, but also the rest of the email. In fact, Spam has sent to his legitimate direction of Gmail, but also to the same direction followed by “@Google.com” to create the error and go beyond Gmail’s natural protections.

Your email has undoubtedly recovered through one of the many cases of data in recent months. The most recent was the one that affected Air France.

If you have received an email of this type, report it directly as spam and not click any link inside it. If, on the other hand, he has been deceived, he must have the blocks of his bank card so that an online complaint is not used and present.
