A true miracle. A surfer escaped a scales attack on a beach in Nueva Wales del Sur in Australia, this Monday, August 18, reports ABC News Australia.
“The man was sitting and the shark bit the board behind his buttock.
Deshazed from this incident, under the eyes of his friend who observed the scene on the rocks, the victim came out of the water with his table in two pieces. The object then presented a bite trace in the large piece of foam.
“He was relaxed, only super frustrated because he really liked his table. He said he had felt that the shark hit him violently on the back of the leg, but was in the water to the waist, so he was in the sand before realizing it,” continues this same source.
The main part interested, visibly not disturbed by this scene, did not have time to see the animal.
The Sharksmart application of the Government of South New Wales reported that a large five -meter white shark was hung and released by a smart fishing line approximately one kilometer, just before 10 AMDEL Monday.
“Seeing such a big, so close, is quite rare”
“Everything happened so fast that I have not yet realized what happened and how fast. You are growing, you think of the sharks and are there, but seeing such a big, so close, it is quite rare. It was such a big shark,” said Kane Douglas, the friend of the goal of the attack, in ABC News Australia.
“If I were in its place, it would go out to buy a lottery ticket today, they were very lucky, remember Dave Rope, local marine rescue services. It is a miracle that nobody has physically injured: it is a rather violent and wide bite.”
And yet, this board was “heavier” and “stronger” than normal tables, according to Jason Jameson, a Gold Coast manufacturer, cited by Australian media.
“The shark crushed her immediately. Apparently, he bit and spit on him in a second. He didn’t even shook her or anything, he simply cheated her,” he explains, emphasizing that the witnesses told him that the explosion of the board looked like that of a “grenade.”
The beach closed to the public
The main beach of Cabarita and the neighbor Cove of Norries Cove have closed to the public as a security measure. At the end of June, another attack had already occurred in this area: a 16 -year -old teenager had been bitten.
This had triggered a series of responses involving the Local Police, Rescue Services (SLS) and the Ministry of Primary Industries and the Regional Development of South Wales (DPIRD).
The beach is not monitored at this time of the year, but today warning signals have been installed on the beach.
