“Judge Frank Caprio died peacefully at the age of 88 after a long and brave fight against pancreatic cancer,” said his Instagram account.
“Appreciated for his compassion, his humility and his unwavering faith in human goodness,” the US judge had become a family face of Internet users. Around 200 million opinions about Tiktok, more than 100 million on YouTube … the latter “touched millions of people through their work in court and beyond,” says his family.
“We will remember not only as a respected judge, but also as a husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and a dedicated friend. His inheritance continues through the innumerable acts of goodness that inspired,” writes the Caprio family in his public tribute.
