In the hungry strip of Gaza, besieged and devastated by almost two years of war, the Israeli army affirmed its intention to intensify its strikes in Gaza-Ville. Therefore, more than 250,000 Palestinians fled from the city of Gaza, said the Israeli army this Saturday, September 13.
“According to the estimates of the Army, more than a quarter of a million inhabitants of the city of Gaza have left it for their own security,” said Arabic spokesman for the Israeli army, Avichay Adraee, in X.
This forced displacement of the population of Gazán is linked to the intensification of bombing and raids led by this same army. According to local sources, fifty people, including 35 years in Gaza-Ville, were killed on Friday in Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip.
International convictions
Berlin, Paris and London called in the afternoon in a common statement to “the immediate trial of Israeli military operations in Gaza-Ville that cause mass trips of civilians, civil losses and the destruction of essential infrastructure.”
In New York, the UN General Assembly has largely adopted a statement aimed at relaunching the peace solution of two states, Israeli and Palestine, but excluding Hamas.
In response, Israel has rejected a “shameful” resolution encouraging Hamas to “continue the war.” On the contrary, the Palestinian vice presidency praised “an important step towards the end of the Israeli occupation.”
The Israeli army has also indicated that “its large-scale strikes” continued against what it says is “terrorist infrastructure and buildings transformed into military infrastructure in Gaza-Ville.”
