Isabel dos Santos will undoubtedly contribute to Angola’s political future

Angolan businesswoman Isabel dos Santos said in an interview with TVI/CNN Portugal on Tuesday that she has no doubt “that she will contribute in some way” to Angola’s political future.

“I aspire to another country,” he insisted, defending that Angola “needs a new political future.”

“I think today we have challenges that are different, that are no longer the challenges of independence, they are no longer the challenges of revolution. Today the challenges are of the economy, of employment,” he stressed, given that the current Angolan political parties, whether in power or the opposition, “are not looking at these issues”.

“There is no vision. There is no plan for Angola. Today there is no vision, there is no strategic plan on how to develop, how to make Angola competitive,” he repeated.

However, his participation in Angolan politics is determined by the “political persecution” he says is the target of the current Angolan regime.

“As I just said, there is political persecution precisely to prevent me from making a difference one day in Angola,” he repeated, pointing out that in Angola “the law is not being followed”.

“I live in a country where the law is not respected. I live in an Angola that does not have a democratic rule of law. I live in an Angola that violates the constitution, violates the rights of citizens and that is why I live in a country where the law is not is enforced so hardly enforced in a country where the law is not enforced where the courts are not independent our courts are not independent our judges are given instructions not all of them but some judges are used by the system to make a political agenda of political power,” he charged, without giving details.

Isabel dos Santos believes that the situation she describes will change.

“I believe it will change. And it will change. History teaches us that all regimes that did not understand that it was necessary, that change was necessary and that it was necessary to meet the aspirations of the new generations, all fail “, he said. referred.

In this regard, Isabel dos Santos believes that Angola’s younger generations will “force a regime change”.

“The new generation that wants a different Angola, that wants different things for Angola, that has different aspirations and wants to see a different Angola, will undoubtedly make the change,” he said.
