Former US President Bill Clinton said on Wednesday he had tested positive for Covid-19. He claimed that he has mild symptoms and encouraged people to adhere to vaccination against SARS-CoV-2 infection.
It is the latest episode in the health history of the 76-year-old former president, who spent a short time in hospital last year after several surgeries since 2004.
“Overall I’m doing well and keeping busy at home. I’m grateful to have been vaccinated and given the booster shot, which has eased my case, and I urge everyone to do the same, especially de As we move to the winter months,” Bill Clinton wrote on Twitter.

The former US president (1993-2001) spent five nights in a California hospital due to a blood infection in October 2021. In 2004, at the age of 58, he underwent quadruple coronary artery bypass surgery and six years later underwent another heart surgery to a vascular endoprosthesis.
Health issues led him to adopt a vegetarian diet and he spoke publicly about how changing his eating habits helped him improve his health.
