Russia will continue to strengthen its ties with China, India, Iran, Turkey and other countries that “value their sovereignty” and “reject Russophobia,” a Kremlin aide said on Tuesday.
“The reality is that over the past decade, in addition to traditional interaction with the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) partners, Russia has maintained strong and friendly relations with China, strengthened cooperation with India, Vietnam, Indonesia and other Southeast Asian states,” said Kremlin International Affairs Adviser Yuri Ushakov.
In the “Primakov Lectures” discussion forum, Ushakov added that ties are also intensifying with “the countries of the Middle East, Iran, Turkey, the Arab world and the entire Muslim world in general.”
These statements are confirmed by the growing commercial exchange with these states, added the Kremlin’s adviser for International Affairs, quoted by the Interfax news agency.
“Of course, we will continue our efforts to consolidate the emerging positive trends in creating a world order based on multipolarity,” he declared.
In that regard, Ushakov said that Russia plans to cooperate with countries that value their sovereignty and opt for interaction over “pointless confrontation.”
