At least six civilians were killed and ten others injured in a Ukrainian missile attack on the eastern Ukrainian city of Donetsk, controlled by Russian-speaking separatists since 2014, local authorities said Tuesday.
“According to preliminary data, six civilians died as a result of today’s shelling,” local mayor Alexei Kulemzin said in a message posted on the Telegram social network.
The same official denounced more than 10 attacks with multiple Grad rocket launch systems against civilian targets in the city and called on the population to remain in shelters.
For its part, the territorial defense headquarters in Donetsk reported having registered 10 injuries after the attacks. The pro-Russian authorities announced that among the fatalities is a local deputy, identified as Maria Pirogova.
