The president-elect of Brazil, Lula da Silva, today announced Fernando Haddad as the future Minister of Finance, as well as the names of Defense, Foreign Relations, Justice and Civil House, the first confirmed for the future Government.
Former mayor Fernando Haddad will head the Ministry of Finance, the main portfolio in the economic area, former deputy José Múcio Monteiro will head Defense, diplomat and former minister Mauro Vieira will once again command Foreign Relations, former governor and senator-elect Flávio Dino will head the portfolio of Justice and ex-governor Rui Costa heads the Civil House.
At a press conference, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva was with four of the nominees, with the exception of future Minister Mauro Vieira, of Foreign Relations, who, according to the elected head of state, is in Croatia.
