The Greek vice president of the European Parliament, Eva Kaili, and three other people were accused and imprisoned this Sunday in Belgium, in the framework of an investigation opened for “corruption” and “money laundering” in Brussels, according to a judicial source.
The federal prosecutor’s office did not provide names when announcing the provisional detention of four of the six people arrested in the last 48 hours.
A search was also carried out on Saturday night at the home of a second MEP, according to the federal prosecutor’s office. The house of the Greek MEP had already been searched on Friday night.
