The former US president criticized the “false claims” and thought the House committee acted in a “partisan” manner.
Donald Trump denounced this Monday “false trials” recommended a few hours before by the parliamentary investigation into the assault on the Capitol, in what he denounces as a maneuver that seeks to prevent his candidacy by 2024.
“All these stories aimed at impeaching me are like impeachment, a partisan attempt to sideline me and the Republican Party” in the race for the White House, he said on his Truth Social network.
“What these people don’t understand is that when they persecute me, those who love freedom gather around me. It makes me stronger,” added Donald Trump.
On January 6, 2021, he called on his supporters to “fight like hell” without expressly asking them to invade the Capitol.
