The queen’s coffin procession heads to Edinburgh. Crowds are expected along the route.

The coffin with the body of Queen Elizabeth II leaves this Sunday from Balmoral Castle for Edinburgh, where the public can pay their respects, before heading to London on Tuesday.

Until now, the body has been in the ballroom of Balmoral Castle, where several members of the family remain, namely the daughter, Princess Anne, the sons, Princes Andrew and Edward, and some of the grandchildren.

The procession of the hearse with the coffin will leave at 10 in the morning and will make stops in cities such as Aberdeen and Dundee, where crowds are expected along the route.

In Edinburgh, he will rest in the Throne Room of the Palace of Holyroodhouse, the monarch’s official residence in Scotland, until Monday afternoon, when he will head to St.

It will be in that church where he will remain 24 hours a day for citizens to show deference to the coffin.

Earlier this morning, an official proclamation ceremony for King Charles III will take place at Edinburgh Castle, announcing the death of Elizabeth II and her son’s accession to the throne.

Meanwhile, today in London, Carlos III will receive the Secretary General of the Commonwealth and the ambassadors of the countries of the British crown at Buckingham Palace.

The king will visit parliament on Monday before flying to Edinburgh, where he will accompany the procession of his mother’s coffin with his body to the cathedral and attend the mass that will follow.

The coffin will be flown to London on Tuesday, first to Buckingham Palace, and on Wednesday afternoon to the Palace of Westminster, the parliament building.

The queen will be in a burning chamber in Westminster Hall, which will be open to the public until Monday morning for the popular to pay their respects.

The state funeral will take place on Monday 19 September, which has been declared a national holiday in the UK.

Queen Elizabeth II died on September 8 at the age of 96 at Balmoral Castle in Scotland, after more than 70 years of the longest reign in UK history.

Elizabeth Alexandra Mary Windsor was born on April 21, 1926 in London and became Queen of England in 1952, at age 25, after the death of her father, George VI, who took over when his brother abdicated.

After the death of the monarch, his eldest son, 73 years old, assumed the position of king as Carlos III.
