Two policemen were stabbed in central London, a man was arrested. According to the London police statement, the suspect was carrying a knife. The attack took place near Leicester Square, near Buckingham Palace and the Palace of Westminster.
“Two officers were stabbed and are currently being treated at the hospital”, and “a man was arrested”, suspected of having “assaulted a lifeguard”, indicates the Metropolitan Police, without specifying the state of health of the two officers.
The incident occurred as thousands of Britons lined up outside Westminster Hall at the Palace of Westminster to pay their respects to Queen Elizabeth II. This Friday morning, this queue stretched for 8 kilometers.
