The rains, landslides and floods that have occurred in recent days in Peru have left at least one dead, two missing and hundreds displaced, according to various official sources.
The National Police confirmed this Thursday to the EFE news agency the death of a man who had been reported missing on Tuesday in the Lima district of Cieneguilla.

The National Emergency Center of Peru reported that in the Piura region, in the north of the country, six people were injured and two missing, in addition to houses destroyed, after a landslide in the Canchaque district.
Landslides and floods were repeated this Thursday in some areas of Lima, although with less force than in previous days.
The rains in the highlands caused the rivers to rise, caused the collapse of houses and the closure of roads.
The death comes almost a week after the Peruvian government declared a state of emergency in several northern provinces of the country, during which time at least eight people died, according to Peru’s National Civil Defense Institute (INDECI).
The meteorological forecasts available to the Peruvian Ministry of Defense indicate that the cyclone could affect Peruvian territory until April 15.
Since the start of the rainy season in December, 60 deaths have been recorded, while more than 8,000 people have been affected, said the head of INDECI, Carlos Yáñez, quoted by Televisión Latina.
Peruvian Defense Minister Jorge Chávez said that 5,000 members of the Armed Forces are involved in emergency operations in regions affected by heavy rains.
