Five Syrian soldiers were injured this Sunday after an Israeli attack, the third in just a week.
“The Israeli enemy carried out an airstrike, targeting positions in the city of Homs,” the Syrian state news agency SANA reported, citing a military source.
According to the SANA news agency, the air strike took place against Syrian Army positions in Homs province. Syrian air defense reportedly intercepted several missiles, but five soldiers were injured and material damage was reported.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a London-based NGO, was quoted as saying by the AFP news agency that the attack also targeted pro-Iranian groups in Homs.
Since the start of the civil war in Syria in 2011, Israel has carried out hundreds of operations in that country.
