The hard wing of the United States Republican Party took to social media on Tuesday to defend former President Donald Trump, claiming that the allegations he faces are something “appalling” and the result of a “witch hunt.”
“Pray for President Trump. Pray for our country. This is terrible”Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene wrote on Twitter, who traveled to New York, where Trump appeared in court this Tuesday, to lead a protest in his favor.

The congressman compared the former president to great historical figures, such as South African leader Nelson Mandela or Jesus Christ.
Jim Jordan, chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, said so “Justice is the same for everyone unless that someone is the Republican presidential nominee”.
Equal justice under the law, unless you’re a Republican running for president.

Republican George Santos, Representative of New York in Congress, also expressed his unequivocal support for Trump.
“I voted for him in the primary and twice for President in the general election. Today I showed my face because that’s what true followers do, they show up on their best and worst days”said on Twitter.
I stood by Trump from the moment he came down the escalator, I voted for him in the primary and twice for president in the general election. Today I showed up because that’s what real supporters do, they show up for your best and your worst days.#Trump2024NowMorethanEver pic.twitter.com/Qyh7B184XL

“Good luck, Mr. President. The United States is helping you in this witch hunt”Congressman Matt Gaetz wrote on social media.
Former US President Donald Trump appeared in Manhattan Criminal Court on Tuesday, where he pleaded not guilty to 34 counts of falsifying company records, according to various media outlets.
The claim of innocence was made during the brief New York court hearing that lasted about 40 minutes and where prosecutors unearthed the grand jury indictment against the former president and businessman.
The allegations are related to the case of an alleged bribe payment to a former pornographic actress, Stormy Daniels, which allegedly served to buy her silence over an extramarital affair ahead of the 2016 presidential election campaign.
The hearing was historic as the Republican tycoon becomes the first former US head of state to appear before a judge and on indictments and may face trial even if the accused does everything they can to avoid this scenario.
Trump, 76 years old and already an announced candidate for the race for the White House by the Republicans, has criticized the process on social networks, which divides and shakes the United States.
The billionaire claims his innocence and claims to be the victim of a “witch hunt” orchestrated by President Joe Biden’s Democrats, whom he also accuses of “stealing” his victory in the 2020 presidential election.
