At least 821 people were arrested this Saturday in 34 cities due to the protests that broke out in Russia against the military mobilization decreed by Russian President Vladimir Putin, according to a statement released by the civil rights organization OVD-Info.
Moscow was the city with the largest number of detainees, around 400, but there were also people detained in Saint Petersburg (142 detainees), Novosibirsk (71), Irkutsk (20), Tomsk (19), Izhevsk (17), Ufa ( 16), among other places.
