At least nine people were killed and 20 wounded on Monday after a shooting at a school in the central Russian city of Izhevsk. There are five children among the victims.
According to the Russian Interior Ministry, quoted by the AFP news agency, the suspect committed suicide.
“The body of the man who opened fire has now been found by the police. He reportedly committed suicide,” the ministry said on the Telegram social network.
“Nine people were killed, including two school security guards and two teachers, as well as five minors,” the Russian Investigative Committee said, adding that the attacker “committed suicide.”
