Chinese influencer dies after drinking seven liters of spirit live

Chinese user Brother Three Thousand died shortly after drinking excessive amounts of alcohol Douyinthe Chinese version of TikTok.

The 34-year-old, whose nickname was revealed by local media as Wang, specializes in drinking Chinese liqueur, Baijiu, a spirit that contains up to 60% alcohol during live broadcasts.

Wang drank at least seven baijiu last Tuesday and was found dead 12 hours after his live broadcast, the average Chinese.
His death – much debated on the Chinese internet – has sparked calls for tighter regulation of the live streamingin full expansion in the country.

On May 16, Wang took part in four individual battles in which influencers compete against each other to win the most gifts from fans in a short period of time.

The influencer ended his livestream after midnight and was found dead the following afternoon, his friend told a Chinese news agency.

“When the family found him, he was already dead, he didn’t even have a chance to get emergency treatment”a man named Zhao told Shangyou News. The funeral took place on Saturday.
