Russia “continues to terrorize Ukraine” with night attacks, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Thursday, announcing the destruction of 36 unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) over the night.

In the same text, the head of state states that 36 drones were projected on Ukrainian territory at night, but “none reached the targets” because they were destroyed by Ukrainian air defenses.
The Ukrainian Air Force indicated that “Iran-made Shahed 136/131” drones were launched against northern and southern Ukraine.
According to Kiev, Russia stepped up nightly attacks with drones and missiles on Ukraine in May.
According to Ukrainian authorities, Russia has also used Kinjal hypersonic missiles, which are more difficult to intercept.
In recent days, Ukrainian troops have referred to the use of the Patriot air defense system (American-made), for the first time since the last Russian invasion that began in February 2022.
