The nuclear power plant is located 150 kilometers from the Kakhova dam.
The Ukrainian Presidency also accused Russia of deliberately destroying the Kakhovka hydroelectric dam overnight with the aim of causing flooding and thus “slowing down” the military offensive of Ukrainian forces.
“The goal of the terrorists is clear: to create obstacles to the offensive actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” said the same adviser to the Ukrainian head of state, Mikhailo Podoliak.
