American actor Treat Williams has died at the age of 71 in a motorcycle accident in Vermont.
In his almost 50-year career in film and television, Richard Treat Williams was especially famous for his roles in the film “Hair” (1979) and the series “Everwood” (2002-2006).
According to police records, cited by the Associated Press, Treat Williams was riding on the highway on a motorcycle when he was struck by a pickup truck that turned left into a parking lot. He was thrown from the motorcycle and, despite wearing a helmet, he did not survive his injuries and ended up dying in hospital.
The driver of the car was hospitalized with minor injuries.
